Nice spot. I'll be checking it out, if PvP right out of the roller is viable I'll be hanging wherever the PvP shit is going on for those 3 days ;p

may 12th to 14th we should have a contingent in there. i believe the beta cd will be in the next issue of pc gamer. graphics look beyond killer and it's built from the ground up for one thing- conflict and pvp.

Swiped from another board:

Downloaded it from Gamepot, where I had to sit through about 9 minutes worth of downloading stupid shit to get a 93 Kb client.

Once I did that, the actual client itself installed easily. Quick, fairly painless. Doesn't do much, but has a nice splash screen.

Copy of client: http://students.cs.tamu.edu/coehlke/GwSetup.exe

Oh, registration works, except for the confirmation part. account.guildwars.com isn't up yet.

Go to Guild Wars web site, you can go ahead and download the client and pre-register for your long in.

Played a bit last night with a warrior/necro. Concept is very interesting, pvp attack/defend mission was cool. Kind of like magic the gathering due to the fact that you can have a shitload of skills/spells but you can choose only 8 prior to entering a mission.

Played for about 30 minutes. Used a Warrior/Necromancer named Nurgling Cornslayer (since you HAVE to have a surname!) and did two missions at the Arena. Four people per team, two teams, red and blue.

First misson, blue team. We charged in and beat the crap out of red. Second misson, red team. We charged in a beat the crap out of blue.

My team won both missons without losing a single person each time.

The game is Diablo II basically, and you really don't do anthing. Click on a target, your character follows it around, so you don't even have to move your character, all you do is click your special attacks and spells.

If thats a "taste" of what the game is, I am not impressed at all.

Only thing that was fun was reading the text of the l33t players cussing each other out...

might be interesting if there were enough people to form a team, i believe there is a world ladder type tournament for the 3 days of e3. the one dev said that the e3 demo is not even 5% of the content and that the game is still in an alpha phase of testing internally.

I'm going to dl and try it out tonight
