Never realized shit like this existed. Good reading if you're into it.

I've been participating in this stuff for many years now. There are quite a few sites of interest.

Here is Lum the Mad's Blog (now works for Mythic)
http://www.brokentoys.org

Arcadian del Sol's (occasionally funny writer)
http://www.arcadiandelsol.com/

Raph Koster (lead creative director for Sony)
http://www.legendmud.org/raph/

Nick Yee (good stuff on Online Sociological stuff)
http://www.nickyee.com/

A lot of people blog on forums, including developers. The Corporation is currently the place to be (migrations occur every now and then)

Several developers hang out at Gamesutra

Ya I know all of those sites (except for koster and yee) and have read them for a few years through their different incarnations. Terra Nova seems a bit different as far as content. It's not rants or even game specific stuff, more about how society is interacting with virtual worlds in general, and what the future looks like therein.

You might find Nick Yee's page interesting then. He writes a lot about the observations surrounding sociological aspects created within online games and the interesting (unpredicted) reactions people & communities have developed within the medium. (holy shit, that's a long sentance)

Koster says a lot of stuff and then ignores his own advice, so I'm less excited about his stuff. He also cannot fathom the joy of PvP... so fuck him. (nya!)
