You want this:

Or this:

I have the second one and it works perfectly. If you have the money, why not go for the first.

I am not a fan of logitech, but I think that 500 is a right handed mouse so if you are a lefty like myself beware.

I have a logitech mx310 and the optical shit is fading in and out...dunno if i wanna trust the logitech mx510

04-07-2004, 01:10 AM
I use the 310 myself, no problems so far. really like it. Had a logitech mouseman optical before that and liked it more. But it was old and i couldnt find another one.

04-07-2004, 01:16 AM
I've had this for a couple months and it works for a while and then it keeps shorting out and pissing me off so i'll just goto bestbuy and get a mx510 i guess.

FUck a 510.. a 500.

is a 510 a Wireless? If you are gaming and use a wireless you are banned from these boards.

MX500 is the Greatest Mouse ever made.

510 is wired.

04-07-2004, 08:09 AM
I have the mx510...no it isnt wireless. I have been pretty happy with it so far.

I did own the Logictech cordless Plus (the piece of shit that suck juice out of 2 batteries in about a week) and upgraded to the Logictech MX700 (cordless with the charging base) The MX700 is amazing - I've never had a connection problem ever with that sucker. It's the ONLY cordless I would ever recommend.

Im gonna go with the Logitech MX510 i think, looks more comfortable than the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer

04-07-2004, 05:06 PM
I bought the Logitech MX510, i like the fit more than the MX310 already! :)

04-07-2004, 05:20 PM
Don't make me wonder what orifice you fit it into.

04-07-2004, 07:27 PM
sry, i prefer a track ball/ marble mouse by logitech

04-08-2004, 02:27 AM
I have the second one that newbold posted, the Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical 1.1

You really want that mouse, its soo light over any surface, you dont even need a mat, unless you want one, and the 5 buttons are perfectly placed

when I play ps this is what I have keymapped to my mouse

Medkits on the right side button
Shoot obviously
Implant (usually darklight or surge)
map zoom on mousewheel
secondary fire

All those on just a tiny mouse.

04-08-2004, 12:35 PM
Val I have that same mouse, its sweet. I did the same thing you did with medbacks on the side mouse button... it saves me non stop.

04-08-2004, 02:31 PM
Been useing the microsoft intel optical mouse for around 3 years now and love it, had to replace it once.

04-08-2004, 08:07 PM
It still stops responding :X

Could it be a virus?

Edit: 0 Viruses 2 Spyware -- Spyware deleted, i doubt the spyware would be causing it tho, it was IBIS Toolbar (Data miner) and a tracker ...dunno wtf the ibis toolbar is tho :P

04-08-2004, 10:16 PM
You have a Dell, call them and tell them to fix that shit. I'd say it's the mobo or your psu.

04-08-2004, 10:58 PM
Hammers fix everything.

04-09-2004, 10:28 AM
I did the same thing you did with medbacks on the side mouse button... it saves me non stop.

Yea I've had some hate tells before like...
"How the fuck!?! I hit you with 5 jackhammer shots!!! Fucking cheater!"

its great not having to fiddle about with the F keys

been trying to buy a fucking mx510 for 2 days now and it's sold out everywhere. the logitech site itself only lists bestbuy as an online retailer and they are backordered there. the fact that it is like impossible to get right now increases my desire tenfold. bah.

04-10-2004, 08:14 PM
There were a couple of em in the best buy that i went to :P

04-10-2004, 11:29 PM
Ya, I'm in the same spot as Ritual. I've been trying to get one too.

Best Buy was supposedly the early release partner for Logitech, and they're supposed to ship them out to all the retailers sometime this month I think. I'd personally rather have the blue one, but it's not even available at Best Buy yet. Only the red one is.

04-11-2004, 10:02 AM
It happened yesterday again, but then when i left num lock off it didnt stop responding, gonna try to run PS form the start w/o numlock on and see if it works or not.

04-11-2004, 11:02 PM
Turning off num lock seems to solve the problem, could there be a problem with the keyboard?

04-17-2004, 08:41 PM
No problem with the keyboard, maybe i should reformat since Dell isn't helping any.

04-18-2004, 11:31 AM
Well I personally owned/own an Intelemouse Explorer (orriginal one) and I loved the feel of it, it fit my hand nicely, and was more comfortable than really any regular mouse i've ever seen since. It got a broken connection in the cord so I had to replace it.

I picked up a Microsoft Trackball Explorer and this thing fits your hand like a glove and all the buttons are where you'd expect them to be and it's perfect for planetside, especially when flying the planes! Pretty cool how you can just sit back and just rest your hand on the desk. :);)

04-26-2004, 07:05 PM
what you want is the "microsoft wheel mouse optical" around 17 - 20 bucks at bestbuy or walmart... fuck anything more than this mouse as it is prefection incarnate.
